Hey there! First post of the New Year 09. So many things happening. Snow fell at the end of the year 08 and has fallen in the beginning of 09. Anytime I see snow I think of new things and I'm awaiting new things in the 09. Relationships, friends, family, love, should be fresh and new. I love the relaxation of watching a good movie and the beginning of this year I've been doing some of that. I've seen 7pounds which I was totally not thrilled in going to see at first. Yet this movie is so touching and turned out to be a masterpiece. I also went to see "Unborn" in which I was anticipating but soooo hated it. It was so terrible I couldn't stop laughing. Consider this one a comedy and not a horror flick. Well horror "ible" flick yes. Golden Globes recently. "Blah, Blah, whatever. Who cares now. It would be cool to see a reality tv Golden Globes though. Who do you think would win? Well until next time, go for your best in 09!!!!

Performance-December 22, 2008 at World Shrine in Harlem, New York. This was a complete jam session! Artists such as Maya Azucena and songwriters Rell who wrote the song on Usher's new album "Here I Stand" were in the house and it was a great night. Yours truly performed and here is video from part of the night. Enjoy and Have a Safe and Happy New Year!

December 2008- Another year is come and gone. How time flies. This year I've traveled the U.S. and in 2009 who knows where the music will take me. I've had the opportunity to play for and share the stage with several artists and it is my dedication to the gift God has given me to blossom even more. I've had my share of challenges as well this year but its only made me stronger. My plans for 2009? To keep living life to the fullest and a blessed happy healthy and safe 2009. Most importantly, those that I love around me I want nothing but the same. Thanks Again and God Bless!

Radio Indy Review of Love Affair

"Love Affair" by Drea is an excellent R&B album with eclectic influences and a soulful vibe. Drea's voice is very seasoned and mature. She's got a great "Old Soul" quality. She has been around music all of her life and it shows. The sound is made up of subtle hints of jazz and house fused with traditional R&B. There are rich harmonies throughout the tracks of this CD. Quality-wise the album sounds great and is well produced and filled with innovative rhythms and sounds. Highlights include "Get your Shh," with a wicked house bass, cool ambient accents and nice vocal layering. "Secrets" slows things down a bit and features some nice jazz guitar work. "Alone" has a deep beat with nice accent variations and a nice vocal performance. If you enjoy finding up-and-coming R&B artists, check out this CD.

A Part Of Me

Sometimes I wanna hide you, Sometimes I want to kiss you
Sometimes I don't know what to do
You make me lose control
the voices inside me, keeps pleading and pleading for me to suppress you
But dayum I need to address you...

Why everytime I look around you're always right there for me,
setting my soul free,
No confusion, its only an illusion to my internalized anguish
but the one mistake for me is not being true to what is real,
what I know and really feel
Love is stronger than pride yet
we'll never know if we never let go
of the phony masquerade,
Just like playing spades, I found an Ace.

We can move on if we both love the same
We can move stronger than pride, richer than fame
Open your eyes and your heart will see
like a beat to a drum, you're a A Part Of Me..
